This is critique to one of my own hero professor Mesfen Woldemariam. I always, admire him for his dedication to his country and truth. He received so many humiliations, insults from pathetic secessionists and paid a heavy price for it many times, for his greatness. The price of greatness is responsibility as Churchill putted and he proudly performed his responsibility all his life as long as I remember. This time of his interview with VOA regarding Kenijit's conflict seemed to take a side and my hero failed to show his wisdom.
His taking side is not the problem. His cure for the existing problem as a solution the way out of the existing problem telling us rested on Bertukan's skill is bad advertising. Sadly, his prescription, sound one of the plenty of bad architecture around, featuring stairways that take you up to blank walls, embarrassing shapeless and nameless spaces, neither rooms nor corridors, whose human purpose is unknown.
First of all, he proved me right that there was internal conflict inside the party for a long time, that which wronged my opponents to lay flat on their belly when I came and post my article before anyone (Repeat, before anyone!), told my readers that there was a power conflict inside the party for a longer time before event hey got arrested. Some seemed to believe, but many pushed my commentary aside. Here, I am right!
Professor Mesfin is a patriotic wise Ethiopian. No question. But, as human fellow, it should be made clear that he too had bad/wrong views and observations as all Physicians do differed with the cause of the sickness and in diagnostic skills. So, let us take him as one of the physicians who is telling us the cure for the disease and analyze it.
You all remember what he told us about the respect he had for the notorious security chief Kinfe Gebremedhin. He simply prescribed him as "a good human being". To the man who lead a department who murdered Assefa Maru on a broad day light on which the professor himself was the first person who expose the TPLF crime to the world and wrote extensively on national papers to show the perpetrators were people from Kinfe Gebremedhin's office!
Not only such, but to those made our families and brothers, disappeared, tortured, murdered, and humiliated by his institution beginning from the time he was leading the notorious Bado 6 and its torture & killing departments since the mobbing activity in Tigray jungle till he got murdered by an "evil Human being" (god knows who murdered this "good Human being!) His reference to the evil notorious security man who had many blood and life on his own hand to listen him that way doesn't sound good to us. We respected his views, on such sensitive matter, but we have to forgive him as human fellow who could have some wrong observations (it could be personal or attracted by the skill of the spy mentality that could tricked him as a good man when he had some drinks or conversations or social gatherings------ different reasons could be involved to why he came to such conclusion). So do his view this time seemed to loose the anchor and made the big sheep to suffered by a storm.
How? He told us there was power competition between Berhanu and Hailu. So, he came out with a solution and cure for the sickness. He recommended Bertukan to clean all the wounds around her (means including Hailu and Berhanu) and lead the party. Hello! Are you following me? There are responsibilities that he should have created solution for it before he resigned and continue this mess of power hunger as a mess if he thinks there was an issue to be resolved earlier before it grew up to this level.
He should have realize that earlier before he resign instead of putting the blame on the chairman Hailu Shawel telling us, Hailu should have done "This first, then this, then this". He should have been part of the cure earlier before such problem grew, but I guess, he couldn't sit and guided it as he is recommending it now. Similarly, Bedru Adem resigned from Kestedamena and what did he do? He made sure his supporters/voters remained with him and he did by putting himself individual candidate! Amazing brain indeed!
For professor as my hero to hear him recommending Bertukan to clean the wounds around her and lead the unity of the party is irresponsible If not unwise. He new that there is a power hunger, and power greed and the power competition between this mobs that wanted to snatch power from the popular leader "Hailu" to "spoil it".
In the midst of this, he is recommending the mobs to clean the wound and to lead what ever left from the "wound" is not a wise recommendation or cure. Realize that in any situation there are response options that will either lift you higher or drag you lower. This time my hero failed to show his wisdom. A bad recommendation! Ethiopia will prevail!

From the begnning what was the purpose of establishig a new party , kistedamna, when there were other partie's such as AEUP. Kisdamna's should have joined those parties which has almost the same idolagy and build up together.
I see it now kistdamna as a poison in the Ethiopian's struggle.
