The current regime in Ethiopia---Woyanie (a widely known identification of the current regime that assumed political power in Ethiopia) is predominantly dependent on its ethnocentric army of which the highest military posts are strictly occupied by the Tigrayan elites. The fate of secretly trained cadres, numerous spies, the rubber stamp parliament, certain section of the clergy, and the coercive machinery are interwoven to that of the ruling class, and all of them are destined to prolong the life of the current highly corrupt regime.

Early on, the massacre in Gondar (inside the church of Adebabay Eyesus), as well as, the mass murder of Amharas in Bedeno, Areka, the murder of the Oromos in the south, etc., were instigated and facilitated by Woyanie. Time and again, the regime instigated ethnic clashes in many towns and villages of the country. On December 13, 2003, for example, a certain ethnic group in collaboration with the regime massacred more than 400 educated youth in the town of Gambella. Many times, in the South and in the North West administrative regions of the country, student-riots frequently erupted in the universities; the causes were provocations by those student-cadres ethnically and politically affiliated to the ruling class, and such riots led to the victimization, arrest, and murder of many students that do not belong to the regime's ethnicity. To stay in power, the regime periodically plans and executes mass murder and blames it on other ethnicities other than theirs; it is very well known that the only and closely knit group in power has incited religious clashes that never reached to this height and frequency anytime before the present era. When such crimes are committed by the regime, its purpose was to deliberately decrease the popular support the armed fronts and opposition political parties are enjoying in their respective constituencies.

In the last couple of months alone, in the province of Gondar, at various districts, people have been massacred by Woyanie's Special Forces; these forces, wearing uniforms similar to the armed resistance group's (Arbegnoch/Patriots), went door to door killing residents; Woyanie's forces looted properties of the people in broad day light. Just recently, Woyanies, disguising themselves as Arbegnoch, sneaking into the towns of Debazin and Diza (Benishangul and Sudan regions), massacred residents and looted their properties; spraying benzene, they torched their houses. In Bahirdar (Gojjam), a university student lost his life due to violence instigated by Woyanie, and lots of people were made to kill each other with hatchets. Even for a second, Woyanie wouldn't refrain from killing innocent citizens and foreign workers if their action would gain them sympathy and support from the International community.

Arbegnoch have been operational for the last 17 years; their conduct is very well known by the community at large; they don't bring unusual and unacceptable conducts which are not acceptable by the local citizens. When it is evident that more people of the region are supporting the resistance army, Arbegnoch simply have to enjoy the hard earned privilege. On the other hand, Woyanie, being nervous of the new developments, is expected to perform atrocities in desperation as its characteristic is inherently--- elimination, lying, dividing, denying, creating illusion, and committing atrocities.

Under Woyanie, Ethiopian women became sex slaves; they became prostitutes, often, gang raped in the Middle-East and other Arab countries. They were thrown off the ship into the Mediterranean or the Red Sea; they were hanged, and beheaded without justice being served; in their own country, they are deliberately alienated from participating and managing the decision making process of their nation state. They are made to be starved, live in the streets with their kids, and made to be prostitutes. The sons and daughters of the great kings of the past civilizations are deprived of basic necessities and respect. The Ethiopian people have injured a lot; patience has limits; we are not supposed to be patient indefinitely for it, otherwise, will be foolishness. When their God given rights, ownership to their land and dignity are violated, they know how to secure them through sacrifice. An Ethiopian farmer, riding his mule with his machine gun on his shoulder, when he comes across even a young boy, gets off his mule and takes off his cowboy hat----as a gesture of respect to the young boy; this was how much a human being was respected by another of the same species. But now, the ruling gangs do not seem coming form the same human species because their behavior and clandestine activities are alien to the desires of the Ethiopian people. The Ethiopian people have been betrayed by their own sons who have been nourished with the wrong principles. It is high time to transcend the nation to its glorious period where human beings, once again, are respected and dignified. Somehow, Ethiopia has got to revisit the need to fight for freedom in order to promote the general good for all.

At the time political tension escalated in Addis, in the aftermath of May 2005 election, several bombs exploded in different quarters of the city; the plan was presupposed and executed by Woyanie; their intention was to blame opposition political parties for the explosions and expose them to the International community. Rules and regulations were changed overnight to meet the desire of the ruling gangsters. Without involving court orders, the government conducted immediate massive arrests of opposition leaders and their supporters. In jail, they shaved their heads by sharing one rather blade among many detainees; this was done in a country where HIV/AIDS is taking its death toll very high. Also, many were left astray in the jungle where wild beasts were having feasts on their flesh and blood. Since the massacre of the Gonderes, Anuaks, many other indigenous people are continuously suffering one or another form of genocide conducted by the regime in power. The people, along their opposition political parties are systematically alienated from the affairs of the state; the people do not have any say at all in the decision making process of the government. In its long history, Ethiopia had never been humiliated than today--- the era of Woyanie.

Currently, in Ethiopia, everyone is unequal before the law; lots of people were killed cold bloodedly; many languished in secret prison caves. Many were killed, detained, and repatriated from foreign countries such as the Sudan, Kenya, Djibouti, and Yemen where they were granted political asylum or refugee status; the whereabouts of some of the detainees are still unknown. Many leaders of opposition political parties have been vaporized in Woyanie prison cells with out any news. Even recently, there was an assassination attempt in Germany, on the leader of EPPF, Gen. Meskerem Atalay who is still in critical condition, attending medical treatment. As time elapses, Woyanie's atrocities on the people are becoming more sophisticated and severe while the world is quietly observing the situation as it is getting worse day by day. On the other hand, the people trusted the West as a force that would favor justice and human dignity to prevail in the land of Ethiopia; however, contrary to the people's expectations, Meles Zenawi, the Prime Minister, was labeled as--- "The New Bred of African Leader." Here, our intention is to mention briefly the crimes committed by Meles's group on the nation state as a whole, and on individual Ethiopians wherever they are. It's suffice to say that once upon a time, where the kingdom of ends looked closer onto Ethiopia, it is now looking very, very far away. We are wondering, and we shall not believe it for a minute on how fast our values amassed for centuries, dearly paid by our ancestors, vanish so quickly, particularly in our time. In defense of the dignity of mankind, our ancestors' history was written in golden ink, and it's up to this generation to restore the country to its glorious past.

In our country where there is abundant human and material resources, in our country where there is much interest to do, improve, and enjoy; there reigns; however, bad laws, subjugation of the will of the people to that of Woyanie. Though the people are denied their liberty, they will rise up as one to get rid of the evil doers who are the source of physical and mental suffering. No matter how much firing power the enemy has, and when the people rise up as one, it will be like "yehamlie doff"-the storm that wipes out all debris---the social debris.

Finally, we all need to keep our eyes open to know and support the struggle of our people; Woyanie seems to be confused and nervous. We know them, when they are in desperation, they will not hesitate to cause great humanitarian crisis all over the country.
