New and illegal Kinijit council members "elected" - Prof Mesfin has joined them as expected
Monday, 04 February 2008
The renegade Kinijit Executive member Sileshi Tena announced on Sunday February 3, 2008 that the double tongued Professor Mesfin Welde Maryam has joined the Anja Kinijit Laelay Mikirbet in an interview at KIL's mouth piece Paltalk Room. Kinijit's Rules and Regulations clearly states that the General Assembly ( Teqlala Gubae) elects Laelay Mikirbet members.
It is a curse or a blessing tha we Ethiopians are phrase mongerers? When i read about the comments given by Aha and HAILU shawl (i do not think ?may be a similar name) revisiting the bylaws of KINIJIT when ever they need to pull something which they think is appropariate to them but we are just wasting our time if we are preferential politicians/supporters like a trade agreement. Democracy is not a place of profit but it is a forum to sell ones ideas and visions which enable ones liberty and the outcome that if possible and accepted by the majority then the resulr will be the liberty of the people of the nation.
so one has to hink twice before cooking something which/which not are applicable or not. I heard about the interview and the meeting and what had happened afterwards but we are crying on a spilt of milk with the name Kinijit but what is left is only the manifesto of the organization so something has to be done in order to continue the struggle either in a new name or the other alternative is to beg Ayele Chamisso, i will go with the first idea and it is better to register with another name and with the same manifesto so that we can reconcile with ourselves and continue the next step. What EPRDF done and think is that during the 2005 election the emblen was all known by Ethiopians but it was not the emblem that people vote against EPRDF but it is the motto behind within the Ehiopian people day to day i,e pestillence, tyranny, reprssion, extra judicial killing etc
Let i remined you something when thee was afake election in 2000 i was around Dessie and someone told me that he will vote Teacher Ekele and i asked him why? he told me if i went to Addis to solve my problem may be i know soneone in the parlament whom i know was his answer. From this exppression one can learn that when people have not confidence on the ruling party they will succumb to the second worst oppressor and now the rift in KINIJIT is just facilitating such bacground for those who dine and wine with the ruling party but by name oppositions.
We Ethioipoians have to think again what we are agravaring which is a bona fide for the ruling party in two ways one to sell their propoganda for their masters who drop them some dollars and whip them like a dog and the second is that they tell everyone (constituent) that your vanguards are fighting for a loaf of bread and authority and did not care a dime for you.
W have to come to our own selfness not selfishness and fight all the time, why not we sincerely discuss what we need is it posts, money, fame, serving the people? and we have to say the right thing what we want clearly and better not meddle in the struggle covering what we want.
God Bless Ethiopia

Is Ato silehi Tena, who was in the discussion forum with w/ Birtukan Mideksa a little while ago before their departure from USA. From their interview I sensed a prelude of continuing their misguided agenda back home in Ethiopia. It happened when W/ Birtukan went on a campaign to Sothern part of Ethiopia and had met some confrontation, I believe by the State / Federal police vis a vis she is under supension.
Why is there so much pettiness in the politics by Ethiopian elites? What is in the name Kinijit, why not form another party, instead of scrambling for power for your own selfish reasons and see if they garner votes form the Ethiopian masses. There are the previous diddents who are being recognized and legalized as Kinit party, as I understand. The main Kinijit party with its elects members, I believe are working to facilitate that process of legalization and certification. The splintered group should have in the first place shoud have openly preseted their agenda to the general committee to debate on it openely to reach a consesus. The current assembly adds to the previous illigal activity by not following the democratic process. Now at sileshi adds to that plot of having to accomodate the members who are are staying behind to persuade the diaspora with their vague agenda, instead of going home and resolving the a number of issues at hand.
Please do not frustrate the Ethiopians, who put trust in Kinijit and gave their votes to the elected members of Kinijit with your misleading approach to peace, freedom , jusitce & democracy. Even those who joined the parliament have accomplished a thing, let alone the EPRDF affiliated parties. Tell me from your press relase, at end of K-5 delegation, What does, "We do not want change, but durable democracy mean?"

I have one question to the interviewer and interviewee, how can you elect laelai Miker Bet without the presence of the chairman??? This is another fake election to break the organization.
