Update on Engr. Hailu Shawel’s health

A few weeks ago we reported that Eng. Hailu Shawel had surgery at Mayo clinic in Minneapolis to correct spinal stenosis which had caused sever pain and difficulty in ambulating for several months. The surgery was very successful and he has made full recovery.

Following surgical recovery, Eng. Hailu had to undergo physical rehabilitation because of deconditioning. Physical deconditioning is a common situation that follows certain surgical procedures. Sever pain and immobility can worsen the situation. Because of intensive physical therapy, his physical functions have been restored fully. Eng. Hailu has recovered fully and is enjoying good health. He has indicated that he is planning to make a tour several cities in the United States to meet supporters and well wishers before returning back home. Zergabachew Asfaw M.DMember KIC
