Nice to read again your moving article that is educational,
yet I miss to find the comparison as a model for better
management of infrastructural projects.
While there are ample evidences of corruptions & frauds
everywhere, including developed countries what makes it
unique not to expect such corruptions? How does the
regime fares with corruption control on similar standing?
As you have stated the size of the project determines the
focus on the priority, thus do aid/loan recipient
countries have full control on the types of projects
vs. donor countries and international organizations, i.e.
World Bank, IMF, UN….?
What is the best alternative to limit international org.
influence? Who is best fit to deliver what the people
aspire at this juncture of time? How?
The above is simply to express frustration from our
educated intellectuals repeating the same old hair
splitting argument of emphasis on the shortcomings and
failures rather than paying attention on lifting solutions
on difficult circumstances. Why should we wait only until
the regime changes, that might or might not take place
in our life time? Is it a dead end??
Cheers
